Brittany is currently a reporter for ABC 6 News in Providence Rhode Island. In this position, she is responsible for shooting, writing, and editing stories for broadcast each day, as well as presenting them on air. She also builds contacts and has become a part of the community. In this position she covers a wide array of issues - like the latest legislation coming out of the state house, the local Black Lives Matter movement, or the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on local businesses. She also craves a good feature story or the possibility to profile someone. She believes EVERYONE has something interesting about them!
Prior to her time in the Providence market, she was a reporter on Long Island, covering issues like MS-13 on the island, the constant problems with the Long Island Rail Road, and localizing federal immigration policies. Before that she was a reporter/anchor/producer for the NBC affiliate in Eureka, CA, KIEM. As Humboldt County is a part of the 'Emerald Triangle,' she covered many stories concerning the expansion of medical marijuana, the effects of marijuana grows on the environment, and the legalization of recreational marijuana leading up to the 2016 election.
Brittany is originally from Peabody, Massachusetts and New England is where she feels most at home. In her free time she enjoys hiking, traveling, and teaching herself to cook new things. She is always looking for the newest trendy food, or exercise class to try out, but also enjoys relaxing with one of her favorite movies.
She is a graduate of the College of Communication at Boston University. She earned a B.S. in Broadcast Journalism, and a minor in history.
In college she enjoyed stints at WCVB as a news intern, as well as working for the City of Peabody, producing and hosting a cable television segment on Restaurant Week in the city. During college she spent a semester in London interning for The Clare Balding Show on BT Sport and BBC 2. Throughout her time at BU she worked as a reporter and executive producer on BUTV’s Inside Boston, a television news magazine.
Storytelling is her strongest passion and she feels blessed to be able to do it everyday.
